Corrosion Resistance al6xn material

Resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion: Through a high-molybdenum, high-nitrogen composition design, its "pitting equivalent number (PREN)" ≥ 45 (PREN = Cr% + 3.3 × Mo% + 16 × N%), far exceeding that of 316L stainless steel (PREN ≈ 25), allows for long-term use in media with a chloride concentration ≤ 2000 ppm, and it is less prone to localized corrosion at flange sealing surfaces, weld seams, and other crevice locations.

Acid Resistance: AL6XN alloy pipe exhibits excellent resistance to inorganic acids such as sulfuric acid (concentration ≤50%, temperature ≤80℃), hydrochloric acid (concentration ≤10%, temperature ≤50℃), and nitric acid (concentration ≤65%, temperature ≤100℃), as well as organic acids such as acetic acid, formic acid, and lactic acid, making it a viable alternative to expensive alloy pipes.

Oxidation and High-Temperature Corrosion Resistance: In high-temperature oxidizing environments below 800℃ (such as sulfur-containing flue gas and high-temperature steam), the chromium oxide passivation film remains stable without severe oxidation peeling. Even at low temperatures (-196℃), the pipe retains good toughness with no risk of brittle fracture.

Seawater and Salt Spray Corrosion Resistance: In marine environments or seawater desalination systems, AL6XN alloy pipe can withstand long-term seawater erosion and salt spray corrosion with a corrosion rate ≤0.01mm/year, far exceeding the service life of ordinary stainless steel.

Tensile Strength: ≥690MPa, more than 1.3 times that of 316L stainless steel (σb≈515MPa), capable of withstanding higher media pressure.
Yield Strength: ≥310MPa, higher than 316L stainless steel (σ0.2≈205MPa), reducing the risk of plastic deformation of pipelines under high pressure.
Elongation: ≥35%, possessing good plasticity, facilitating pipeline bending and forming.
Impact Toughness: ≥100J, maintaining high toughness at low temperatures, suitable for cryogenic applications such as LNG (liquefied natural gas) transportation.
High-Temperature Mechanical Properties: At 500℃, tensile strength remains ≥450MPa, creep rupture strength (1000 hours) ≥150MPa, suitable for high-temperature process pipelines (such as feed pipes for chemical reactors).
