ASTM A269 Type 347 Stainless Steel Tube is a stabilized Nb-containing alloy. UNS S34700 has good general corrosion resistance and slightly better corrosion resistance than 321 (UNS S32100) in strong oxidizing conditions. It is also resistant to corrosion in many organic and inorganic acids such as acetic, sulfuric and phosphoric acids. It has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to temperatures of 800 – 1500°F (427 – 816°C) where chromium carbides precipitate.
