Product Introduction

347 Stainless Steel Tube is considered a stabilized austenitic stainless steel due to the presence of niobium and tantalum in the alloy. It has enhanced resistance to intergranular corrosion at elevated temperatures. It is often used in applications that require repeated heating in the 800 - 1650 F (427-899 C) range. Additionally, the mechanical properties of 347 grade stainless steel round tube, such as creep and stress cracking resistance, are much higher than those of grade 304 or 304L. A312 GR TP347 Fabrication Process

347 has similar performance qualities to 321 stainless steel. Mechanically, it can be cold worked to a temper similar to other 300 series stainless steel plates, with good strength properties. 347 SS Tubing can be manufactured using subtractive manufacturing methods such as grinding, turning, milling, or more modern techniques such as EDM, ECM, and laser fabrication.
