317L Stainless Steel Tube is similar in composition to 316L and is an austenitic molybdenum, chromium, nickel stainless steel alloy. Due to the higher molybdenum content, S31703 material has enhanced resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking, especially in chloride-rich environments. SS 317L has higher creep strength, rupture stress, and tensile strength than 316L stainless steel tube and is widely used in applications such as offshore and pulp and paper mills.
