ASTM A312 347 Stainless Steel Pipe is a niobium stabilized austenitic stainless steel. DIN 1.4550 stainless steel has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to chromium carbide precipitation temperatures in the range of 800 – 1500°F (427 – 816°C). The addition of niobium to the S34700 material also enables it to resist high temperature oxidation at about 800 degrees Celsius.
