ASTM A312 TP321 Pipe exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion in a wide range of environments, including acidic, alkaline, and chloride-containing environments. The addition of titanium stabilizes the alloy, preventing sensitization and intergranular corrosion that can occur in certain environments. AISI 321 stainless steel maintains its mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for high-temperature applications such as in heat exchangers, boiler tubes, and furnace components. Its high-temperature strength allows it to withstand temperatures up to 900°C (1652°F).
