Resistance to Pitting and Crevice Corrosion: SSAL6XN's Pitting Corrosion Equivalent Number (PREN) exceeds 60, a key indicator of a stainless steel's pitting corrosion resistance. It is calculated as PREN = %Cr + 3.3 × %Mo + 16 × %N. This high PREN value ensures AL6XN's excellent resistance to localized corrosion in chloride-rich environments, such as seawater and chemical processes.
Resistance to Stress Corrosion Cracking: Due to its high nickel content, AL6XN exhibits exceptional immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking, making it an ideal choice for components that may be subjected to both stress and corrosion, such as heat exchanger tubes and chemical process piping.
Resistance to Uniform Corrosion: SSAL6XN performs well in a wide range of corrosive media, including sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, organic acids, and other oxidizing and reducing environments. For example, in 60% sulfuric acid at temperatures below 80°C, the annual corrosion rate of AL6XN can be less than 0.1mm.

al6n alloy Mechanical Properties
High Strength: AL6XN has a tensile strength of ≥650 MPa and a yield strength of ≥295 MPa, significantly higher than conventional austenitic stainless steel (e.g., 316L has a yield strength of approximately 170 MPa). This high strength enables thinner pipe wall designs, saving material and reducing weight.
Toughness and Ductility: SSAL6XN has an elongation of ≥30%, demonstrating excellent plastic deformation, adapting to various processing and forming processes and stress fluctuations encountered during use.
Hardness and Wear Resistance: Stainless steel n08067 has a typical hardness of HRB ≤90. This moderate hardness ensures a certain degree of wear resistance while maintaining good machinability.
