The chemical composition of 316L stainless steel is the basis of its performance. Its core elements include: chromium (16%~18%), nickel (10%~14%), molybdenum (2%~3%), and strictly controlled carbon content (≤0.03%).

It is recommended to use inert gas shielded welding (TIG/MIG), the welding material needs to match the low carbon characteristics (such as ER316L), and the heat input should be controlled to prevent intergranular corrosion.

Heat treatment of SS 316L sheet

Solution treatment (1010~1150℃ rapid cooling) can eliminate processing stress and restore corrosion resistance, but it is necessary to avoid staying in the 450~850℃ range for a long time.
