Alloy B2 Tube has remarkable resistance to hydrogen chloride gas and reducing environments such as acetic, sulfuric and phosphoric acids. Molybdenum makes HASTELLOY B-2 harder and stronger at high temperatures while also providing good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting. Werkstoff 2.4617 also has good oxidation resistance up to 1800°F and formability up to 1400°F – 1900°F.
