alloy x High temperature oxidation resistance

Under continuous high temperature up to 1200°C (2200°F), Hastelloy X can form a dense and highly adherent Cr₂O₃ oxide film on the surface, effectively blocking oxygen intrusion. Under cyclic oxidation conditions, its oxidation peeling resistance is significantly better than most similar alloys, and its service life is extended by 40%.

The tensile strength at 980°C can still be maintained at ≥ 70 MPa, which is much higher than the performance of most stainless steels that have been completely softened at this temperature.

Outstanding long-term strength: At 815°C and 170 MPa stress, the fracture time is usually more than 100 hours.

Excellent creep limit: At 870°C, a stress of ≥ 50 MPa is required to produce 1% creep deformation.

Stable in most reducing acid environments (such as dilute sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid) and oxidizing acids (such as nitric acid). Excellent resistance to carburization and nitriding, suitable for high-temperature equipment containing carbon/nitrogen atmosphere.

The plate can be formed by cold rolling, stamping, spinning, etc., and solid solution treatment is required in the middle to eliminate stress. It can be welded by various methods such as TIG, MIG, and arc welding, and the post-welding state can meet most application requirements (long-term use in the sensitization range should be avoided).
