Chemical composition of Alloy N10675 plate
The alloy composition of Hastelloy B3 is based on nickel (Ni) (about 65%), molybdenum (Mo) content is about 28.5%, chromium (Cr) content is 1.5%-3.0%, and a small amount of iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), manganese (Mn) and other elements are added. Its high molybdenum content gives the material excellent resistance to corrosion in reducing media, while the low chromium content reduces sensitivity in oxidizing environments.
Physical properties of Alloy B3
The density of Hastelloy B3 plate is about 9.22 g/cm³, and the melting point range is 1330-1380°C. Its coefficient of thermal expansion is 11.5 μm/m·°C at 20-100°C, and its thermal conductivity is 10.1 W/m·K. These characteristics enable it to maintain structural stability under high temperature and thermal cycle conditions.

Corrosion resistance of Alloy B3 N10675 Plate
The alloy performs well in strong reducing acids such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and phosphoric acid, especially in high concentration and high temperature conditions, and its corrosion resistance far exceeds that of stainless steel and other nickel-based alloys. For example, in a 10% hydrochloric acid solution at 70°C, its corrosion rate is less than 0.1 mm/year. However, its performance is limited in environments containing oxidizing media (such as nitric acid and chlorates), so it should be selected with caution.
Application areas of Hastelloy N10675 Sheet
Chemical equipment: used to manufacture reactors, heat exchangers, and distillation tower internals.
Flue gas desulfurization system: wet desulfurization process in coal-fired power plants.
Pharmaceutical industry: As reactor lining or pipeline material.
Marine engineering: Evaporator components used in seawater desalination equipment.
Welding process of B3 Alloy
It is recommended to use tungsten inert gas shielded welding (GTAW) or stick arc welding (SMAW), and the welding material must match ERNiMo-10 or similar composition. The interlayer temperature must be strictly controlled during welding (≤150°C), and high-purity argon gas protection must be used throughout the process to avoid the infiltration of impurities such as carbon and sulfur to cause intergranular corrosion.
Hot and cold processing of N10675 Alloy
When cold forming, attention should be paid to the high strength characteristics of the material. It is recommended to anneal after processing to eliminate residual stress. The hot processing temperature should be controlled within the range of 980-1175°C, and avoid staying in the range of 650-870°C for a long time to prevent the precipitation of brittle phases.
Heat treatment Of 2.4600 Alloy Sheet
The solution treatment needs to be kept at 1120-1175°C and then quickly cooled with water to obtain a uniform austenite structure. Avoid annealing in the range of 600-900°C, otherwise harmful intermetallic compounds will be formed.
Surface treatment of Hastelloy 2.4600
The processed plate needs to be completely descaled, which can be done by sandblasting or pickling (nitric acid + hydrofluoric acid mixture is recommended). Avoid contact with carbon steel during storage to prevent pitting caused by iron ion contamination.
