N08904 Stainless Steel Pipe is a super austenitic grade with 19% to 23% chromium, 23% to 28% nickel and 4-5% molybdenum. Alloy 904L Tubing has excellent resistance to corrosive and reducing media. ASTM A213 TP904L tube can be used up to 400 degrees Celsius in the presence of dilute sulfuric acid. Our manufacturers solution heat treat and cold roll at 1090 to 1175 degrees Celsius. Welded pipe is cheaper and takes less time to process than seamless pipe.

SS 904L VS 254SMO | 316L | 304L

The corrosion resistance of 904L grade stainless steel lies between the super austenitic grades with 6% molybdenum content and the standard 316L austenitic grade. EN 1.4539 grade 904L has a higher resistance to nitric acid than 304L without molybdenum.
