Urea 316L Mod has very low silicon content, high molybdenum content, and also has a high nickel content (13.5%), which makes it completely austenitic (ferrite content is less than 0.5%) to resist urea carbonate solutions. Alloy ss 316lmod has good oxidation resistance at high temperatures and can usually withstand temperatures up to 870°C (1600°F). Stainless Steel 316L Mod Pipe Suitable for equipment such as chemical reactors, heat exchangers, etc.
SS 316Lmod VS. 316L:
- Resistance to Chloride Stress Corrosion Cracking: SS 316Lmod exhibits higher resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking than standard 316L stainless steel, especially in seawater and chloride-containing environments.
- Resistance to Sulfuric Acid Corrosion: Compared to conventional 316L, it has better corrosion resistance in concentrated sulfuric acid environments and is suitable for applications in high acid environments.
