AMS5510 is a specification for corrosion resistant 18 chromium - 8 nickel (weldable) steel plate and strip. Type 321 stainless steel is a chromium-nickel alloy with titanium added to provide enhanced resistance to intergranular corrosion. AMS 5510 321 SS Sheet is used for aerospace components. Continuous heating or cooling performance of 321 material is not affected in the range of 800 to 1500ºF, making it the stainless steel of choice for operating environments up to 900°C.
