alx6n stainless steel corrosion resistance
- Anti-pitting/crevice corrosion: It performs extremely well in high Cl⁻ environments such as seawater, salt water, pulp bleaching liquid, and chemical process fluids, and its critical pitting temperature (CPT) and critical crevice corrosion temperature (CCT) are much higher than ordinary stainless steel.
- Resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC): The high nickel content makes it extremely resistant to chloride SCC, solving the fatal weakness of materials such as 316L in warm chloride environments.
- Excellent uniform corrosion resistance: It performs well in a wide range of acids (such as phosphoric acid, acetic acid, organic acids), alkalis, and salt solutions, especially in acidic environments containing halides.
- Seawater corrosion resistance: Ideal for marine and offshore applications, whether in full immersion, splash zone or marine atmosphere.

n08367 High strength and good toughness
The solid solution strengthening effect of nitrogen enables its room temperature yield strength to reach about 345 MPa (50 ksi) or more, which is significantly higher than 304/316L (about 205 MPa), approaching or even exceeding the strength level of duplex stainless steel. At the same time, it maintains the excellent toughness and ductility inherent in austenitic steel, and still performs well even at low temperatures (such as -196°C).

al6xn uns weldability
When using matching high-molybdenum nickel-based welding materials (such as AL-6XN® welding materials, alloy 625/622/59), the welding performance is good. The welded joint can maintain corrosion resistance and mechanical properties close to the parent material.
al6xn alloy High temperature resistance
It can be used continuously in environments up to about 450°C (842°F) and maintain good strength and corrosion resistance. Too high temperature may cause the precipitation of harmful phases (such as σ phase and χ phase), affecting toughness and corrosion resistance.
