Alloy 254 SMO Steel Plate is an austenitic steel. ASTM A240 UNS S31254 mechanical properties are almost twice that of 300 series steel in most cases, with high impact resistance, toughness and tensile strength. SS 254SMO plate also has corrosion resistance under high chloride ion conditions, crevice corrosion resistance, pitting resistance and very high tensile strength.
