Mixed Acid Environments: It outperforms stainless steel and other nickel-based alloys in complex systems where reducing acids such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and phosphoric acid coexist with oxidizing acids such as nitric acid.
Chloride Fighter: It offers exceptional resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, and is highly reliable in seawater, brine, and chloride-containing process media.
Localized Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
Oxidizing Media Resistance: Excellent resistance to nitric acid and acid solutions containing oxidizing metal ions (Fe₃, Cu₂⁺).

Cold-worked tubing must undergo high-temperature solution heat treatment (typically between 1120°C and 1170°C, followed by rapid water cooling or equivalent). This process dissolves any carbides or brittle phases formed during processing, restoring the alloy's full corrosion resistance, toughness, and ductility.
