Chemical composition of hastelloy c276 pipe
C276 alloy (UNS N10276) is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium high-temperature alloy whose chemical composition meets the requirements of ASTM B622. Its primary components are nickel (matrix, ≥57%), molybdenum (15-17%), chromium (14.5-16.5%), iron (4-7%), and tungsten (3-4.5%), with minor amounts of cobalt and manganese. This alloy achieves optimized performance through solid solution strengthening, resulting in a face-centered cubic (FCC) austenite crystal structure.

hastelloy C276 can handle reducing acids such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, strongly oxidizing media such as chlorine and ferric chloride, and even complex operating conditions with both oxidizing and reducing properties. This is due to the dense passivation film formed on its surface, which remains stable even under high temperature and high pressure.
Manufacturing Process Standards of hast 276
- A dual process of vacuum induction melting (VIM) and electroslag remelting (ESR) is used.
- Hot working temperature range is controlled between 1150-900°C.
- Solution treatment temperature must reach 1120°C ± 10°C, followed by rapid water cooling.
- Finished pipes must pass intergranular corrosion testing (ASTM G28 Method A).
