Density: 8.5-8.94 g/cm³, slightly higher than ordinary stainless steel, consistent with the density characteristics of nickel-based alloys.

Melting point: 1290-1399℃, a relatively wide melting point range, providing a certain temperature range for hot working.

Thermal expansion coefficient: 12.4 μm/m·℃ (20-100℃), i.e., 6.9×10⁻⁶ in/in·℃ (70-212℉), stable thermal expansion performance in the normal to medium temperature range.

Elastic modulus: 206-210 GPa (29878-30458 ksi), good material rigidity.

Shear modulus: 79 GPa (11458 ksi).

Thermal conductivity: Slightly increases with increasing temperature, maintaining good thermal conductivity stability in the high-temperature range.

Tensile strength: ≥690 MPa (≥100 ksi), usually between 690-750 MPa in the annealed state.

Yield strength (Rp0.2): ≥285 MPa for sheet material, ≥315 MPa for bar and other forms.

Elongation (A5): ≥40% for sheet material, ≥30% for other forms, excellent material toughness, facilitating forming and processing.

Hardness: Low hardness in the annealed state, facilitating cutting, bending, and other processing. In the spring tempered state, the tensile strength can be increased to 1300-1600 MPa, with a corresponding increase in hardness.

Poisson's ratio: Approximately 0.31, close to the conventional range of most metal materials.

Sulfuric Acid: Hastelloy C2000 Alloy Sheet has excellent corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid, maintaining a low corrosion rate in sulfuric acid media of varying concentrations and temperatures. For example, in sulfuric acid with a concentration below 80%, the corrosion rate can be controlled to below 0.1 mm/y at room temperature to medium temperatures.

 

Hydrochloric Acid: The high molybdenum content provides good corrosion resistance to hydrochloric acid. The corrosion rate is extremely low in low-concentration hydrochloric acid (≤20%) at room temperature. The corrosion rate increases slightly with increasing concentration or temperature, but is still superior to most similar nickel-based alloys.

 

Other Acids: Hastelloy C2000 Alloy Sheet is resistance to various organic and inorganic acids such as acetic acid, formic acid, chromic acid, and hydrobromic acid. For example, the corrosion rate is <0.01 mm/y in 99% acetic acid at room temperature.
