Chemical composition of alloy C2000 plate

The core components of Hastelloy C-2000 are: nickel (Ni) as the matrix (content of about 55%-59%), chromium (Cr) 22%-24% for resistance to oxidative corrosion, molybdenum (Mo) 15%-17% and copper (Cu) 1.3%-1.9% to synergistically enhance corrosion resistance in reducing environments. In addition, the carbon (C) content is extremely low (≤0.01%), which significantly reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion, and is supplemented by elements such as iron (Fe≤3.0%) and silicon (Si≤0.08%) to control metallurgical stability.

Physical and mechanical properties of Hastelloy N06200 Sheet

Hastelloy c2000 has a density of 8.0-8.5 g/cm³, a melting point between 1335-1400℃, a thermal expansion coefficient (25-100℃) of 12.4 μm/m·℃, and a thermal conductivity of 10.8 W/m·k, which enables it to maintain structural stability at high temperatures. In terms of room temperature tensile properties, the tensile strength is ≥752 MPa, the yield strength is ≥358 MPa, and the elongation is as high as 64%. It has both high strength and good plasticity, and is suitable for complex processing.

Corrosion resistance of c2000 plate

The outstanding advantage of Hastelloy C2000 is its all-environment corrosion resistance. High chromium content effectively resists oxidizing media (such as nitric acid, solutions containing iron/copper ions), while the combination of molybdenum and copper resists reducing acids (such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid) and chloride stress corrosion cracking.
