Inconel 601 (UNS N06601, 2.4851) is an austenitic nickel-chromium-iron high-temperature alloy (UNS N06601), designed for extreme high temperature and corrosive environments. Its main components are nickel (58-63%), chromium (21-25%) and aluminum (1.0-1.7%), supplemented by iron, titanium, manganese and other elements. UNS N06601 combines excellent oxidation resistance and high temperature strength, making it an ideal choice for industrial high temperature fields.

Inconel 601 UNS N06601 Plate Heating and Pickling
2.4851 alloy 601 should be heated in a low sulfur atmosphere, with fuel containing low sulfur and a slightly reducing furnace atmosphere to minimize oxidation. Nickel Alloy 601 strength and hardness are achieved by cold working and annealing. If the material is to be pickled or exposed to a corrosive environment, rapid cooling to 1000-1400°F (540-760°C) is required to prevent sensitization.
