Alloy 400 pipe chemical composition

Monel 400 uses a golden ratio of nickel (≥63%) and copper (28–34%), supplemented by iron and manganese elements to optimize processability, and forms a pure single-phase austenite structure through strict impurity control of carbon ≤0.3% and sulfur ≤0.024%. This homogeneous structure ensures that there is no risk of intergranular precipitation in a corrosive environment, and the corrosion resistance is highly consistent across the board.

Monel steel pipe 400 Engineering processing

Cold processing performance: 80% deformation is allowed, which is much higher than Hastelloy (usually <30%), and complex bending and expansion tube forming are supported.

Welding: Conventional TIG welding (welding wire ENiCu-7) can achieve weld corrosion resistance consistent with the parent material, and no post-weld heat treatment is required when the wall thickness is <6mm.
