Product Introduction

AISI 630 or 17-4 PH, is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel that offers an exceptional combination of high strength, corrosion resistance, and ease of fabrication. 1.4542 17 4 ph 630 is recommended for use at temperatures up to 600°F (316°C) for continuous service. However, it can withstand intermittent exposure to temperatures as high as 1100°F (593°C). The material properties such as hardness and tensile strength can be significantly affected by the specific heat treatment condition applied (e.g., H900, H1025, H1075, H1150).

Custom SUS 630 Heat Treatment Conditions

1. H900: Achieved by heating the alloy 17-4 PH stainless steel to 900°F (482°C) for one hour, followed by air cooling. This condition provides the highest strength and hardness.
2. H1025: Achieved by heating the alloy to 1025°F (552°C) for one hour, followed by air cooling. This condition offers a good balance between strength and toughness.
3. H1075: Achieved by heating the alloy to 1075°F (579°C) for one hour, followed by air cooling. This condition provides lower strength but higher toughness compared to H900 and H1025.
4. H1150: Achieved by heating the alloy to 1150°F (621°C) for one hour, followed by air cooling. This condition results in the highest toughness and moderate strength.
