Alloy 904L UNS N08904 is a super austenitic stainless steel, the chemical composition of SS 904L steel plate is 19% to 23% chromium, 23% to 28% nickel and 4-5% molybdenum. SS 1.4539 is suitable for applications requiring resistance to dilute sulfuric acid, pitting and corrosion. 904L stainless steel plates are widely used in the chemical processing industry. SA 240 904L type is also available with surface treatments such as BA, BA NO(8), NO.4, 2B, 2D, NO.8.HL and SATIN (with plastic coating).
