Stainless Steel 904L Sheet China has corrosion resistance somewhere between the super austenitic grades (6% molybdenum) and the standard 316L austenitic grades. Alloy 904L stainless steel has copper added to it to increase its resistance to strong reducing acids such as sulfuric acid. UNS N08904 requires solution treatment after cold working to achieve maximum resistance to stress corrosion cracking. SS 904L grade stainless steel is non-magnetic and has excellent formability, toughness and weldability.
