Hastelloy X Sheet exhibits excellent mechanical strength and creep resistance in high-temperature environments. It maintains high yield strength and tensile strength up to 870°C-980°C, which is critical for hot-end components subject to high stress.

Hastelloy X Sheet exhibits excellent oxidation resistance in high-temperature environments up to 1200°C. It forms a stable, dense, and highly adherent chromium oxide film, effectively resisting oxidative spalling at high temperatures.

In addition, it exhibits excellent resistance to a wide range of acids, bases, and salt solutions, particularly in chloride-containing environments. It also resists carburization and nitriding, two common conditions that often lead to premature failure of high-temperature alloys.

Compared to many other high-temperature alloys, Hastelloy X Sheet exhibits excellent formability and weldability. It can be formed by hot rolling, cold rolling, forging, and other processes.

Hastelloy X is suitable for welding using a variety of processes, including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW/TIG), gas metal arc welding (GMAW/MIG), manual metal arc welding (SMAW), and resistance welding. Low heat input is employed, with interpass temperatures not exceeding 100°C, and pre- and post-weld heat treatment is generally not required.
