In oxidizing media, 316L Mod Steel Plate corrosion is resisted by the chromium oxide film. In reducing media, molybdenum promotes the stability of the passivation film. It exhibits outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. In a 3.5% sodium chloride solution, its pitting potential is higher than that of ordinary 316L, and its crevice corrosion rate is lower, making it suitable for marine and chemical environments containing chloride.

Smelting: Raw materials are melted in an electric arc furnace + ladle refining (LF furnace for impurity removal and composition adjustment, VOD furnace for decarburization to ≤0.03%), with real-time composition control.

Rolling: Steel billets are heated to 1100℃-1250℃ and then hot-rolled to the target thickness. Thinner specifications require cold rolling (reduction rate 30%-60%). Annealing can be performed after cold rolling to reduce hardness.

Heat Treatment: 316L Mod Steel Plate solution treatment at 1050℃-1150℃ (holding for 1-2 hours followed by water cooling) yields a single austenitic structure. Cold-rolled sheets require annealing at 800℃-900℃ to relieve internal stress before solution treatment. Subsequent pickling removes oxide scale, and passivation improves corrosion resistance.
