ss 904L plate Performance in acidic media
- Sulfuric acid: Resistant to temperatures up to 40°C in the concentration range of 0-98%, applicable to all concentrations below 70°C.
- Phosphoric acid: Excellent performance at concentrations of 0-85%, better than conventional stainless steel.
- Organic acids: Resistant to acetic acid and formic-acetic acid mixtures at any concentration/temperature.
- Hydrochloric acid: Limited to low concentrations of 1-2%, but better than conventional stainless steel.

- Pitting and crevice corrosion: High molybdenum content and copper additions provide excellent protection in chloride ion environments (such as seawater).
